The story behind the work

Our founder Simon Day knows what it means to be trapped by an inability to communicate. There was a point in his life when everything felt like it was falling apart: career stalled, relationships suffering, confidence gone. It took time to realise that the real barrier wasn't circumstance. It was communication. The inability to ask for help, to articulate, to show up in a room and be genuinely present.

What followed was a decade-long journey to find his voice. Through great mentors, relentless practice and more than a few uncomfortable moments, he turned his greatest fear into his greatest passion, then founded Kingfishers Consulting to help others do the same.

That experience shapes everything we do. We understand the gap between who you are and how you come across, because we've lived it. And we know that closing that gap changes everything: in the boardroom, in the team, in the conversation that matters most.

Simon is currently completing his ILM Level 7 Executive Coaching qualification, the highest level of professional coaching accreditation.

Keynote Speaking brings these ideas to conference stages and leadership summits, with a talk built around the three foundations that no tool can replicate and every leader needs: clarity, courage and presence.
